Tracy Grammer's Wonderful Wisconsin Concert

This past Saturday evening a few of us prairie folks drove up the back roads to enjoy a much anticipated and long awaited visit (to these parts) from Tracy Grammer. I have been listening to Dave Carter and her CDs for several years now on the suggestion of folk singer pal Claudia Russell, who "opened" for Dave and Tracy some time ago.

To simply refer to this experience as a "show" or "performance" would totally miss the mark as to what actually occurred for two or so hours that magical evening. The manner in which Tracy engaged her audience (and make no mistake, she owned us) was unlike any concert I'd attended before. The intimacy and honesty of that night might be impossible to duplicate until perhaps...the next time she takes the stage.
Tracy's artistry leaves me stumbling to find the words to describe her musical persona. She interprets and delivers lyrics as if they are being sung for the first time. Her guitar work is flawless. Tracy is on a lengthy spring tour, and will even be back in Wisconsin before it's conclusion. For more info visit her website at: http://www.tracygrammer.com/

Exactly right, Tom. She owned us, for sure, and it was like we were there, in the dreams, with her and Dave. - Eileen

Oops. I think I backtracked and erased my comment.

You are exactly right, Tom. She owned us. And Dave is right, too. We were very lucky to be there. - Eileen
