Life is complicated, and often difficult. You never know what is coming next, and it does no good to fret. Unless those frets are on your guitar. The one in the corner that you don't pick up enough. Music has such an incredible way of smoothing out the bumps. It also soothes the bruises.
We find a full range of emotions in the lyrics of a song. Comfort, joy, sadness, oft merely quiet reflection. Or perhaps its just simple diversion from day to day trials.
Notes and chords, a strum and a hum. Like a slight breeze you didn't expect, captured from the calm of a lilting chorus.
At the end of the day, give me a song, or let me share one with you.

Love the piece, love the Denver song, and of course you know I love music.
I see you have Wil Maring's site listed... she was the first house concert I hosted. What a great lady, and Robert Bowlin... wow... what an instrumentalist.
Peace... cold enough for you?
Dave
I've looked at this several times since you posted, wasn't sure what to say, and then tonight, heavy with thoughts of Vickie, I listened to the words John Denver sang, of poems, prayers, and promises, of dreams, and memories shared, and I cried, and I wrote some words on my blog for Vickie, and for John, and for me. Wow. - Eileen
