A Legend Coming To These Parts!
This Saturday night (and I emphasis NIGHT) former Byrd, Chris Hillman will be at the Indian Crossing Casino along with Herb Pedersen. These guys did 8 albums together as part of the Desert Rose Band. The great country rock band Heartsfield will be opening for them. At my age I hope I can stay up long enough to see Hillman, as I love his mandolin playing. Herb Pedersen is no slouch on guitar either. I'm betting it's going to be a can't miss show, especially in that nifty old venue. We saw the Pure Prairie League there a number of years ago. Because the place use to be everything from a dance hall to a roller skating rink there are no permanent seats, but there is a bar!

Too bad we missed it. Too bad about a lot of things. But we do the best we can. And we listen to the cds, which we can turn off at bed time, and not have to worry about driving after dark and dui. - Eileen
