Well, the Folk Unlimited Orchestra will be arriving Thursday in preparation for their big show at Riverfront Rendezvous Friday evening. And we can't wait! In preparation we just picked up a real bed for the guest room (instead of that sleeper sofa). I have a room air conditioner in the loft where the rest of the band will be camped out. Nothing is too good for our friends from Berkley CA.
Their Midwestern tour includes a stop in Chicago to do a radio show on WFMT's "Midnight Special". That will be super exposure for her and the gang. Who knows, since they are getting here a day early perhaps there will be some impromptu porch picking at our place, a kind of rehearsal of sorts.
I went downtown and put Claudia Russell posters all over since there will be thousands of people coming in (for the free Bodeans concert tomorrow). The bigger her audience, the more CDs they will sell. It's shaping up to be a fun weekend!

The concert was a hilight of the weekend, and the post-concert comraderie was great fun. Can't wait to listen to the cds I bought today. I love knowing that these wonderfully talented individuals are also genuinely nice people too. - Eileen
